I have performed some basic research:Underground Near-surface colony created with 4 extremely large rooms (2 shipping containers wide per room) for optimal tenant quest completion.Scorched 6000m planets.Goal is to recruit colony members for ship crew.Trial 1: Normal undifferentiated tenants (only doors and lights present.)Quests:-note passing-Hunt monster for item-Assemble cloth from monster loot-cloth given to other NPC to create hat-NPC offered to join crew. (Engineer)Dropped off new crew member at ship.Upgraded ship.-No quests for 5 minutes. Deleted all tenants for new batch. Waited.Left settlement for nearby feature and returned. Still nothin'.Added executive (untagged) beds and chairs to homes.

Dear Gumi,You guys claim that you listen to your player base but that's nothing but a blatant lie. If it doesn't get enough traction in Reddit you guys won't do anything. You guys released 3 LE units in a span of a month. Hetepheres is marked as LE but it being on the same batch as Rahotep means she'll be back when the next unit is released. Laresa is a guild raid unit which means she'll appear again next guild raid season and then there's blaze. Blaze have the worst rate ever.
Each of this LE takes more than 50+ pulls for pingus and you'll get them in less than 10 with a godly RNG but how many times does that occur? You don't have 50+ summon tickets ready everytime a new unit comes out usually it will be in the 30s meaning you'll buy 100 or more gems to continue summoning. That's at least $130 for 50 summons. So to pull a for a unit more than 50x to get one you tell me that this unit is worth $130? Then it will be outclassed in a month when you decide to release a new OP unit. So there goes my $130 investment. I'm just saying $130 but that's low balling cause I know some people who spends way more than that.
So in just 1 month you are getting $500 from 1 pingu, and there's at least 40 of us so you are getting already $20,000 and not even counting the pingus I don't know and some casual f2p. If you really want to earn money, JP have the option where you can buy an Omni unit for 30 gems which is equivalent to 6 summons and you know what's the kicker? You can even choose the typing!!! You guys should probably implement that thing to make your playerbase happy.
Maybe you guys can charge 50 gems or 100 gems for an LE. Cause pingus will still buy them. You need Multiple copies of unit if you want to Omni+. People will spend more money if it's a better investment. But at the state of the game right now a lot of people are complaining and are quitting and you guys are still doing the same thing of screwing people around.
I personally will stop summoning cause I'm tired of this bs of rates. I don't care if the units are op cause guess what they will get outclassed anyways. It helps me get competitive in FH? But FH is broken I'll probably just get negative score.
Oh it's a monster in Colo? I'm quite sure with proper team building and sphere combination you can counter it. So no thank you gumi, you don't deserve my money! You can probably keep getting money from other people but they will soon realize that it's a pointless investment and will leave you too.I'm sorry if I sound too salty because I'm too salty, I'm tired of having to pull for a unit 50x every time.
I'm so salty when I see someone pull a unit within 10 pulls and I get one in 50 to 90 tries. I'm salty that brave combustion is an elgif you get by chance. I pulled 80x and didn't get one, some people did 20x and got 2.I also want to hear the opinion of the community, I'm not the only one tired of this right?I apologize to the mods in advance if this is gonna be a thread full of hate, thats not my intention. I just want Gumi to know that we as a community are tired of what's going on. If people stopped summoning every time they said they would stop summoning, we'd probably have something done about this.
Instead people complain on Reddit and still spend anyway. I've seen posts like this everywhere in the community and they are always very highly upvoted/liked, yet ultimately they don't affect Gumi's bottom line and so they continue.I mainly agree with what you say, though I actually DO think it shouldn't be possible to get every unit F2P on release. There wouldn't be much point in spending money that way. However, I do think there should be a safety net for every summon gate, probably around 20 summons.Basically, buy the biggest ticket pack, get one of the featured units at least. That sort of thing. Especially if they're going to release gates with only one featured unit so frequently.
Anyone who really wants the featured units can spend $35 or so to make sure they get it, everyone else can pray to RNGesus. But the crux of the problem is that no matter how much you spend, you're still at the mercy of RNG.Having a safety net, even if it's more than 20 summons (heck, even 30-50 would still be decent) means that people who are dedicated and spending money are guaranteed to get something for their cash. The confirmed summon or whatever that JP has would be another route as well, but it doesn't even need to be that complicated. Just a safety net would be enough to satisfy me. Devil's advocate here: The top games don't need a safety net to pull people in, as GBF, FEH, and FGO have made that very apparent.
Fate GO is also pushing things by crushing it in revenue while only having a 1% gacha rate and at best a higher appearance right for featured units within that 1%. It sometimes takes a small fortune to pull a 5. Servant in Fate GO (especially with no pity timer), likewise for FFBE where people break the bank time and time again.Even looking at Gumi's other game, FFBE, the average cost spent to unit gained is worse when you compare it to Brave Frontier.
Besides, we get so many free gems as it is along with free STs.Am I getting fatigue from pulling for no units? Yes, and 284 for Laresa definitely hurt the wallet. But that's a horrible outlier. Only about 1-5% of mobile game users actually P2P, so it's difficult in general to pull people to pay and a safety net only hurts that. The rates I don't have a problem with here in BF because of how much better they are than every other popular gacha, and isn't a bottomless money pit like Game of War or Clash of Clans. But the amount of gates lately definitely is an issue that is worth addressing. You did however bring up a good point that people always fail to overlook: YOU DON'T HAVE TO PULL. Brave Frontier is a great game in that almost every Omni unit is useful to some capacity, and while you may not always have the bleeding-edge squad in terms of power, you don't need to pull for every unit to be at the top of the food chain here. I mean, if they have fewer gates then they could have a relatively large safety net by comparison, but it is definitely the number of limited units specifically that creates this problem (since you can't just wait until later).I think the reason people are raising their voices now (well, again, I guess) is because it's evident as guild raid develops and with the release of vortex arena that BF GL is shifting more towards PVP as opposed to PVE, in which case it really will be the 'pingus' that dominate the game.
Sure you can clear most content with noise pulls at this point, but when it comes to the PVP aspects of the game like colloseum, FH, Guild raid, and now Vortex Arena; it becomes more necessary to make sure you don't fall behind the other players, and it creates quite the dillema for people who want to play PVP.This kind of ties in to why I'm annoyed in regards to the rewards for VA as opposed to guild raid: Guild raid, at least on the surface, cannot be bought. Yes having the latest units and best spheres helps and having spent money will certainly help with that. But in the end a huge component is activity and dedication: something that not even all pingus have lol.
By comparison, Vortex Arena is basically regular arena with 6 orbs instead of three. And who's top of the leaderboard in Arena? Pingus, because all you have to do is spam gems to refresh orbs and just keep pressing the battle button. I know I'm in the minority but I love the PvP aspect of any game, and to be fair, paying players will always have an advantage in games like these (don't get me started on Game of War I don't have Middle Eastern Oil money to compete lol). But at the end of the day, it's the paying players who keep the hamsters fed that run Gumi's servers, that's facts. It makes sense to skew towards P2P from a business aspect to pull in more revenue (while under the guise of more free things like through all these events we have nonstop).
If it's like the old original vortex arena without changes then it's using the old codes for arena with some modifiers.I do not remember if spheres affected our own team(back then people were using shit like sacred jewels and evil shards. But it was pretty barebones.
That said, if they were to update it with some colo effects(enemy teams has their ES, spheres etc.) then it definitely favors p2p players. As most will have access to higher tier more desired units. If it's like the old code which is basically what we have in arena now(minus the ability to check for the enemies abp which sucks) then it still favors p2p players but in a different way. Since apparently theres a lot of p2p players who don't gem things like energy, orbs, etc. But drop teh big bucks for summons.
